Three Simple Steps: How to Save A Life

Three Simple Steps: How to Save A Life

Three Simple Steps: How to Save A Life

If you can’t swim, you can’t help someone drowning in the deep end of a pool.

Today, people you know are drowning in life’s deep end of frustration, anger, anxiety and fear.

This short post has Three Simple Steps for one of the following reasons:

  1. To help save your own life.
  2. To help you save someone else.

It begins with a reveal about humankind’s #1 desire: For Freedom. And from any listing of them, the following seven will show up as very significant.

In ways we can only imagine, Adam and Eve, heirs of  Eden and God’s amazing grace, enjoyed:

Financial Freedom, with the vastness of Eden’s lush acreage.

Relational Freedom among themselves and God their Creator.

Environmental Freedom – without any pestilence or poison.

Educational Freedom with open ended conversations with God.

Recreational Freedom with sacrificial, transparent sexuality.

Emotional Freedom from guile, deception, and self-indulgence.

Spiritual Freedom no “trap” of hypocrisy, superstition or anxiety.

But due to the “stinking thinking” now rampant in all humankind, they lost freedom, prestige, and rights.

See, the joint managers of God’s pristine creation gambled and lost their wealth believing the fiendishly foolish lie by Satan who told Eve:

“You’ll become like God.”

Beginning to see why real “freedom” is now so temporary and elusive?

Now ours is a legacy of flawed thoughts. Our natural tendency for the traps and trappings of “roller-coaster” living and regret stalk us daily. Lifelong – as mourned by Tevye, love-able dad. The devoted milk – man in Fiddler on the Roof:

Sunrise, sunset, sunrise, sunset, swiftly fly the years
One season following another, laden with happiness and tears.”

Yup. Tevye’s sad brooding is about the fate of all humankind.

Seems all we can do now is mourn the loss of our freedoms in Eden by “mom and dad”

See why, even if we’re “top of the world” happy – there’s a gnawing we’re “in make believe” and later we’re miserable – but “normal” again?

Due to our loss in Eden, “normal” is a fleeting bird. One sooner or later we’ll intuitively let go.

But there’s good news!

Ours is a feisty spirit – sure, been beaten down since Eden, but:

… still is not totally defeated!

Know why? Well, here’s the thing …

John 1:11 reveals the hard times Jehovah God  suffered on earth in the body of his Son – Jesus:

“He came to his own, (the children of Jacob or Israel) but they didn’t accept Him:

… so now to all who accept Him – God gives the power to become His sons and daughters, and to:

Really Enjoy Life. Everlasting life”. (our paraphrase)

And permanently regain our long-lost freedoms.

Just another reason why Lord Jesus Christ in the person of His Holy Spirit living in us – hooks us every day to be:

  • The very best we can! And why:

Today in century 21, drowning in life’s “deep end” of frustration, anger, anxiety and fear is…

Completely Avoidable!!! So, here’s the:

Three Simple Steps to Take If You’re in Life’s Deep End

  1. Everyone is born into slavery to Satan and sin.
  2. We must be born again. simple as A, B, C.
    • Admit – “I am a sinner”
    • Believe – Jesus is the son of God.
    • Call on him – “Jesus, please make me yours”. John 3:16
  3. Accept Jesus’ Holy Spirit to live in us to teach, guide and direct.

What To Do Next…

  1. If the above is “news” to you, read it again as your prayer.
  2. Now say – “Thank You Lord Jesus for my new birth”
  3. Become a life guard. Share “I’m born again” ASAP.
  4. Read the Holy Bible daily for spiritual nutrition.

Tip: Read 1st, 2nd & 3rd books of John (New Testament) Great food for a new disciple.

But on the other hand… Say – are you already a disciple – but you’re now on inactive status?

Well, here’s your Great Commission Action Plan to Save a Life Today, and every Day!

Freedom comes at a price. It is about doing the next right thing. And the way to find it is through Jesus, who paid the price for our spiritual freedom. The Holy Bible tells me it is received by putting my faith and trust in our Lord Jesus. Thank you for your message!

Hospital based nurses seem to get especially vulnerable to this form of thought.

I’m creating a new blog in WordPress for Inner Clarity.

They invade my space, waste my time, and get on my anxious feelings.

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite reason seemed
to be on the internet the simplest thing to be aware of.

I say to you, I certainly get irked while people
think about worries that they just don’t know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without
having side effect , people can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks

Some good news here, after some awful truths. The gospel sure is refreshing, like a glass of milk after jalepeno peppers or jerk chicken.

I thought I did not see “fiddler on the roof ” but the song you quoted is very familiar to me. Perhaps from some children’s show or movie. They’re always reusing and reimagining art.

    • upstreamer002

      Thanks Marcia,
For stopping by, your in-depth reading, and thoughtful feed-back. Your reference to the Good News as relieving and similar to “a glass of milk after jalepeno peppers or jerk chicken” shows your appreciation for the power of a good picture. Hope you’re be back regularly to read and offer feedback. Please share us with the rest of your world. Thanks again. Carlton aka upstreamer

Thank you for sharing and reaching out with the message our Lord has laid upon your heart. May the fruit of this ministry abound with blessings as Jesus Christ is lifted up and our Lord is glorified!

Just a note, Step 2 means a little more to me than Believe Jesus is the son of God. Believe that Jesus, the son of God, is also God. I and the father are one. (John 10:30). His death on the cross paid the penalty for my sins. (Romans 6:23)

To me that is very important, He paid the penalty and offers me this gift of eternal life if only I will accept it by calling or confessing Him as my Lord and Savior.

    • Carlton

You’re absolutely correct. Acknowledging the person-hood, the sacrifice and the lordship of Jesus moves us from an eternal sentence of death (and eternal separation from God) to a gift of eternal life as cited in Romans 18:9. That “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”. Carlton
